Marsha's Glam Guidelines

High-End Cosmetics on a Low-End Budget

Hello Lovelies! I am so amped about today’s tidbit. Tidbit? Is that what we’re calling it? That seems small…Well it will have to do until my brain starts to function properly again. (Good luck with that). Anyway today we have a guest narrator to recap last week’s events. I am stoked to introduce you guys and gals to Marsha ==>

Marsha is our totes HOT superhero that finds us great deals and places to shop in exchange for Slushes from Sonic and Oatmeal cookies (preferably with raisins). So for you Lovelies out there who didn’t check out the tips from last week (or either you did but couldn’t bother to click your mouse that many times), here is Marsha (Who’s still totes HOT…I heard she resembles me but, ya know) to give us a recap. *Enters Marsha stage left* Hear ye, Hear ye if you didn’t see last week’s post GO READ IT NOW! *drops mic exits stage right*. Well Marsha was always one of few words… So anyway today I am giving you a list of rules to follow to get the very best deals on all cosmetic products! Hint: I can be your new superhero if you guys fire Marsha? Think about it. Okay so as we were talking about last week, in a lot of the tutorials on Youtube, MOST of the products are so expensive. You may be wondering how you can get your grubby little paws on them or you could be like me and interested in expanding your makeup collection? Well fear not simple mortals, listed below are the guidelines of window/web shopping that will get you the products you want at the prices you can afford.  Now in order for this to be effective, you must follow a simple set of rules:

1)      Only shop sale items unless the products are already reasonably priced.

2)      Just because it’s high-end doesn’t make it a better product.

3)      You can’t have a “quality” makeup collection without a variety of products.

4)      A lot of “drugstore products” don’t make a collection, they make a lot of drugstore products.

5)      Check out what others are saying about a product BEFORE you buy it (especially high-end products).

6)      Compare products through reviews (Are you paying for a name or the quality of the product.

7)      Beware of Scams and counterfeit products (Think Ebay and Amazon).

8)      Always check for free shipping and handling (many times you can add several more items and get shipping free, instead of wasting that money on s&h charges. Also look for FREE S&H).

9)      Don’t pay the same price for drugstore brands that you could’ve gotten higher end brands for.

10)     RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH. Just because it’s on the brand’s site for full price doesn’t mean you can’t find it at an authentic retailer for a discounted price.

11)     If a brand doesn’t offer any “Sales/Clearance” items, don’t spend a lot of time on them because it truly is a buyer’s market and someone else is selling the same or better product elsewhere.
